Brewfest had been upgraded with additional reward and prices. Reasons and the price of each of these are posted below. I hope players enjoy this lovely update and hence forth enjoy the Holiday more. An additional "hotfix" was also made.
1. Transmogrification:
Items that can be used for transmogrification for Brewfest were added to the Brewfest Prize vendor. Although you can't do transmogrification right away due to the amount of Necrotic Runes you got to gather. If you're a big fan of getting drunk or dressing the part. These transmogrifications were added to fill out your heart's desires.
- Mug O'Hurt - A rare drop of a level 41 item. Sold for 100 "Brewfest Prize Tokens".
- Hurley's Tankard - A rare drop of a level 52 item. Sold for 100 "Brewfest Prize Tokens".
- Lapidis Tankard of Tidesippe - A rare drop of a level 54 item. Sold for 200 "Brewfest Prize Tokens".
- Monster - Item, Tankard Metal - An item that is not available anywhere within the game. Now sold for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens".
- Ornate Drinking Stein - An item that is not available anywhere within the game (Was later added in Warlods of Draenor from random mob drops). Now sold for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens".
2. Mounts:
Mounts were added to the shop. Please, make note that these items are NOT dropped from Coren Direbrew or the Keg he drops that can be openly looted. The following mounts were removed before the Lich King upgrade of Brewfest and are no longer available in the game. They were re-added to fill up the player's purpose of doing something for each time it is on.
- Brewfest Kodo - A mount that is no longer available in the game. Now sold for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens" and only for the "Horde" faction.
- Brewfest Ram - A mount that is no longer available in the game. Now sold for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens" and only for the "Alliance" faction.
3. Steins:
Brewfest Steins were commonly known to be available each year and only once. After that specific year, the mug would be removed and never available in the game again. Here, all the mugs of all the colors are added to the vendor. You are not able to collect all of them in the same year, due to the fact they will cost many Brewfest Prize Tokens and even those above. You may barely pull of two Mugs if you're an achievement hunter or not one for that matter.
- Yellow Brewfest Stein - This Stein was a reward in 2007's Brewfest times. Here, the player can purchase this classic ale stein for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens".
- Blue Brewfest Stein - This Stein was a reward in 2008's Brewfest times. Here, the player can purchase this classic ale stein for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens".
- Green Brewfest Stein - This Stein was a reward in 2009's Brewfest times. This Stein, however, is still a reward in the game from a quest as it was the last Stein that Blizzard added before World of Warcraft: Cataclysm that came out in 2010. Here, the player can purchase this classic ale stein for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens" or get it from the quest. You choose!
4. Bonus at the Darkmoon Faire:
Players may purchase bonus prizes at the Darkmoon Faire for any Holiday that occurs. These bonuses are added in forms of Holiday currencies as well. The bonus rewards for the Darkmoon Faire is:
- Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets - Can be purchased for 25 "Brewfest Prize Tokens". Used well for Darkmoon Faire Reputation gains.
- Necrotic Rune - Can be purchased for 600 "Brewfest Prize Tokens". These tokens are highly valued for Transmogrification purposes.
5. A Short Original Discovery Change:
- Wolpertinger's Tankard - On nearly all Private Servers. This companion pet sells for 50 silver, instead of selling properly for 200 "Brewfest Prize Tokens". However, for being very easily rewarded from a quest during Brewfest. It is kind of agreeable to sell it for silver, while at the same time it is not. To make it only a "Brewfest" available item. The price of 50 "Brewfest Prize Tokens" was set. Whether you purchase this pet or not. The fix and change was only made so it's available for Brewfest and not before that.
